Swedish Centre for International Security & Terrorism Studies – SCISTS
An independent Swedish research and education centre, focused on providing information, investigations, and political analyses related to various security issues worldwide, as well as extremist groups at local, regional, and international levels, regardless of their origins, affiliations, and ideologies.
The Swedish centre is dedicated to publishing articles, reports, studies, and rigorous research according to scientific standards in Swedish, English, and Arabic languages, with the aim of shedding light on issues of extremism and violence worldwide from various perspectives and raising awareness about the mechanisms, tools, and risks that terrorism in all its forms poses to the stability of societies, global peace, and human rights.
The Swedish center not only presents the risks and threats of terrorism but also offers solutions and ways to combat it culturally, politically, economically, and in terms of security.
The centre collaborates with both governmental and non-governmental organizations and institutions inside and outside of Europe that align with its guidelines and objectives.

The founder of the centre is Andie Flemström, Stockholm, Sweden. Swedish – Syrian researcher and writer. Master of Arts – International Relations at University of Stockholm, Bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Science at University of Stockholm, Bachelor of Arts – English Literature at University of Damascus. Researcher at European Centre for Counterterrorism and Intelligence Studies.
